Our friend Jubilee, the singing and dancing koala, returns to ignite the hearts and minds of our young visitors and tell stories of his native land. ChildrenSong of New Jersey will also make an appearance to sing some songs from "Down Under" and demonstrate some native instruments. We will also have vets from Animal and Bird Health Care Center with live animals!


Irish Festival

The Subaru Center for Learning will be kicking off it's 2011 free teacher workshop series with "Healthy Human Body and Dental Health", Thursday February 3 from 5-7pm.  

 

     The 2011 series includes the following:

            Wednesday, March 2 - Author Studies in the Classroom

Thursday, April 7 - Panel of Professionals

Wednesday, May 4 - Math Activities with a Literacy Connection

Wednesday, July 13 - Sensory Activities and Sign Language

Wednesday, August 3 - Using Community Resources in your Classroom

Thursday, October 12 - Edible Art

Wednesday, November 9 - Connecting Through Learning Centers

Tuesday, December 6 - Music Through the Year

 

These are 2 hour sessions worth 2 professional development credits. To register, please contact onthego@discoverymuseum.com or 856-424-1233 ex. 314

We cap the workshops at 50, so please only register 3 teachers per institution, any more then three will be charged a $25 fee.
