Passover 2011
The Tel Aviv Yafo Foundation
THE TEL AVIV YAFO FOUNDATION WISHES YOU

AND YOUR FAMILY A HAPPY PASSOVER

Passover Greetings from Mayor Ron Huldai

Ron Huldai PhotoAs Passover is the holiday of renewal, this is the appropriate time to share my excitement about the incredible rejuvenation that is going on in Tel Aviv. Although it can be felt in virtually every corner of the city, this revitalization is most apparent in the field of the arts. While the Municipality puts the finishing touches on a brand new addition to the Tel Aviv Museum and on the sparkling renovations at the Habimah National Theater, the Tel Aviv Yafo Foundation has completed the renovations at the magnificent seaside Charles Clore Park and is about to complete the new wing at the Tel Aviv Cinematheque. The Cinematheque refurbishment could not come at a more opportune moment, for Strangers No More, the Oscar-winning film about the Bialik Rogozin School will soon have its much anticipated Israeli premiere there.

In a recent article, a New York Times writer called Tel Aviv the "new capital of cool" and listed it as one of the
50 most important cities in the world, and one of the most desirable tourist destinations of 2011. I would be
delighted if each and every one of you came for a visit in 2011, if not as tourists then as family.

Hag Sameach,

Ron Huldai

Mayor of Tel Aviv-Yafo

and International Chairman

Denver Teens Change The World

Change the WorldThe Denver Jewish Day School is the home to Change the world. It just takes cents!™, a program through which middle school students raise money for, and advocate on behalf of, refugee children. Change the world...!™ partnered with the Tel Aviv Yafo Foundation to provide education and a protective environment for refugee children through the opening of a home environment center in August 2010. Seventy children aged 3-5 years from Darfur, Eritrea, Congo, Somalia, Turkey, Thailand and other regions now receive a pre-school education in a nurturing environment.

New Educational Campus Serves 230 Kids

Katzman DedicationA new educational complex was dedicated thanks to the generosity of Dr. Shulamit and Chaim Katzman of Miami, Florida.

Since 2004, the number of young children in Tel Aviv Yafo has increased dramatically, creating a need to establish more daycare centers and pre-kindergartens. Approximately 230 babies, toddlers and children from six months to six years of age have the incredible opportunity to learn and grow in this new educational campus.
