October 23-25, 2009
Announcement For Immediate Release
TLV 100 Multimedia Exhibit

Tel Aviv 100 As part of a weekend of festivities, Miamians are celebrating the 100th anniversary of Tel Aviv through a unique film, "Tel Aviv: A Journey to a Vision," produced by the Tel Aviv Foundation. The 25 minute film is an experiential journey through the city which tells the story of Tel Aviv's transformation from a Mediterranean coastal town populated by a few hundred Jewish immigrants into a cosmopolitan metropolis.

Through the unique set up of four screens creating a 180 degree experience, Tel Aviv's human and urban landscape unfolds into a cube - its history and wonders compressed. The exhibition is experienced as a multifaceted tour across space and time, mixing the new with the old, the sights with the sounds.

Audiences take a virtual walk through the city streets and neighborhoods, catching a glimpse of Tel Aviv's architecture and becoming acquainted with some of the city's most prominent figures and residents. The exhibit is co-produced by the City of Tel Aviv.
