Arden Moore's 'Mew'sings and Muttisms ©
At bedtime, why won't we tolerate snoring or blanket
stealing by our two-legged partners, but stay in contorted positions so as not
to disturb our snoozing cats or dogs?
Cats put the "C" in candid, the "A" in attitude, the "T" in
tenacious and the "S" in so what!
Dogs put the "D" in drool, the "O" in obey, the "G" in goofy and the "S" in seconds, please.
So you really think you are the leader of your pack? Hmmm...
when is the last time your dog or cat fetched you a fresh roll of toilet paper
or flushed your toilet?

Test Your Lassie Lore
Knowledge!
Jon Provost, who portrayed Timmy Martin in the classic TV
show, Lassie, recently appeared as a guest on my Oh Behave! Show on Pet Life Radio. He
unleashed a lot of Lassie facts and debunked some Lassie myths.
Okay, lads and
lassies, let's put your Lassie trivia talents to the test:

1. Did
Timmy really fall in a well?
2. How
many dogs portrayed Lassie?
3. Was
Provost the first child to team up with Lassie?
4. Where
can one find Timmy's trademark checkered shirt and blue jeans today?
Answers:
1. No. Timmy got into a lot of jams like falling off a cliff
or getting stuck in quicksand that required Lassie to rescue him, but the well
story is, well, just an urban legend.
2. Nine - and all of them are related and all of them are
male. Think of the Lassie name as the canine version of Johnny Cash's "Boy Name
Sue" song.
3. No. Tommy Rettig played Jeff Miller, Lassie's teen-aged
pal for three seasons before he outgrew the role and the show signed Provost, a
7-year-old who already had seven movies to his credit.
4. Timmy's farm clothes are now displayed at the Smithsonian
Institute in Washington, D.C. next to the leather jacket worn by The
Fonz on "Happy Days" and Archie Bunker's chair.
If you didn't ace this quiz, don't lose any fur over it.

episode on Pet Life Radio that features the Lassie Legacy and special guest Jon Provost (aka Timmy).
