Greetings!

Tonight we come together to meditate, then listen to Podcast #5 of Ken McLeod's retreat, "Monsters Under the Bed," with co-teachers George Draffan and Claudia Hansson.

Topics: locking up in the body, what to do about it, guided meditation on how the six realms appear in daily life, venturing into the mystery of not living in any realm.

This teaching is 1 hour, 15 minutes, so we'll start meditating very close to our 7:00 start time  in order to get everything in.

RETREAT begins in 6 days! If you want to attend the upcoming Stability & Clarity Retreat November 3-6 with George Draffan, we still have room. But act quickly, we have to confirm final numbers on Monday. For full information, go to  http://www.luminousmind.net/event_stabilityandclarity.html

For those registered for retreat, an informational email will be coming soon. Bring a check tonight if you haven't already paid. Single rooms, $322. Twin rooms, $280.

Quote of the Week

There is a tame, and also a wild, side to the human mind.

The tame side, like a farmer's field, has been disciplined and cultivated to produce a desired yield. It is useful but limited.

The wild side is larger, deeper, more complex, and though it cannot be fully known, it can be explored... It has landscapes and creatures within it that will surprise us. It can refresh us and scare us. Wild mind reflects the larger truth of our ancient selves, of our ancient animal and spiritual selves... The wildness gives heart, courage, love, spirit, danger, compassion, skill, fierceness, and sweetness -- all at once.
