Greetings!
We continue our study tonight at 7:00 on the Mind-Only stage of meditation on emptiness, including material from the book, Progressive Stages of Meditation on Emptiness. In it, Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso says, Essentially the Mind-Only approach, like any Buddhist approach, is based on direct experience. Following the basic Buddhist pattern of trying to be intimately aware of every moment of consciousness as it arises, at the Mind-Only stage the meditator realizes that the divisions of each moment of awareness into an inner perceiving mind and an outer perceived object is a conceptual invention.
Accordingly, we'll also meditate with a recording of Ken McLeod giving us instructions that help us merge with our experience. Hope to see you at 7:00 or before! The door will be open starting at 6:45; no need to knock. Everyone welcome, no prerequisites. The notes from last week's video are posted on the blog. Very profound and insightful. |
