Dear MTCCC members:
It is my pleasure to introduce to you our first edition of the MTCCC Newsletter. As all of you know, the MTCCC is made up of diverse individuals and organizations from across this great state, who have committed to work together to reduce the burden of cancer in Montana. Within the coalition we move forward our goals outlined in the MT Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan through in person statewide meetings, on conference calls, by sharing information via the listserve and more recently on our website (www.mtcancercoalition.org). While each of these tools plays an important role in our communication and teamwork, we have heard from many of you that a newsletter would be helpful to keep members informed and engaged. Carrie Strike, Outreach Coordinator, will serve as our initial Newsletter Editor, working closely with the Communications Committee and Steering Committee to compile information and distribute the Newsletter on a quarterly basis. As always, your input is vitally important, and therefore, we encourage you to contact Carrie, or myself with article ideas, topics you would like covered, or general thoughts and comments. If you have a passion for writing and/or photography and would be interested in contributing to the Newsletter, we would love to capture and highlight your talents in this regard. Thanks, to each of you, for your commitment to the MTCCC and all of your hardwork. Warm Regards, Betsy Smith Chair- MTCCC Communications Committee betsysmith@benefis.org
