Fall Checklist
If you missed it last month, here it is again...the Fall Landscape Checklist! - Aeration - fall is the perfect time to aerate your lawn. It helps to reduce thatch, loosens up compacted soils, and makes it easier for nutrients and water to reach the roots of your turf.
- Tree Wrap - it's always a good idea to use a cloth tree wrap to cover the trunk of your new (or young) trees. This will help protect your trees from frost and scald damage, and especially from animal damage.
- Mulching - remember to check the mulch around your plants this fall; make sure there is a good 2-3" layer surrounding the base of your plants. This will help insulate the roots and protect them from the chill of winter.
- Wilt-Pruf - all evergreens in your landscape will benefit from this product. Wilt-Pruf is a ready-to-use spray that helps lock the moisture into the foliage of your evergreens. This will help prevent winter burn, which is a common problem with many evergreens, especially arborvitae.
- Liquid Fence - protect your trees, shrubs, and perennials from the deer this fall and winter by spraying this ready-to-use product around your plants.
