BIG APPAREL PRICE INCREASES FOR 2011
If you anticipate purchasing cotton t-shirts or any type of branded apparel that contains cotton in the coming year I STRONGLY urge you to order before the end of 2010.
I'm currently receiving daily emails from suppliers predicting that apparel prices will rise between 5% and 30% in 2011. This isn't just affecting the promotional product world- increases are coming to retail stores as well. There are more details in this recent edition of Business Week.
If you are planning on ordering cotton apparel
anytime in the near future, consider ordering as soon as possible. Most indications are that the prices will be going up in January, however, I've seen some increases already.
This is perhaps not the best news to bring us into the holidays, but I felt it was important to pass the information along so those who can be proactive won't experience so much sticker shock next year! |
