Like many children in Kenya, Brenda's family has been affected by AIDS, and her dream is to become a scientist and find a cure for AIDS. Without a scholarship from EFAC, Brenda would be doing casual labor in her village and be unable to go to high school. Instead, she just finished her first year of high school where she excelled in English and chemistry. She is musically gifted and loves to play basketball and hang out with her friends. She is a bright, motivated student who with an EFAC scholarship will be able to reach her potential.
