Efficiency of your Workout
The workout is demanding, intense, effective and safe. And
by the way, it's only 20 minutes! Being on time for your appointment
means you are able to work fully through all the routines. Your results
ultimately depend on how hard you work. It is important to give 100% on each
workout to enjoy maximum strength gains. The hard work is well worth your
efforts!
Besides an efficient use of time, the benefits you can
expect are:
*Increased muscle strength
*Decrease in body fat
*Enhanced flexibility
*Increase in resting metabolic
rate
*Increase in bone strength and
density
*Improved cardiovascular
efficiency
*Enhanced body shape and tone
*Increased resistance to injury
*Noticeable improvement of endurance
when performing daily functions as well as athletic performance.

AN UNCONVENTIONAL APPROACH TO WEIGHT LOSS Keith Morton Owner/Partner
Why have we been on a "low fat diet" for 30 years, and obesity has never been more prevalent? Why have we walked, ran, spent hours on elipticals, spun, etc. and we as a society have never been fatter? We've eaten our vegetables, walked around with water bottles, and eaten only whole grain bread...how have we done? You get the point. Obesity is really a crisis in America. It's my opinion that conventional wisdom, when it comes to diet AND exercise couldn't be more wrong. I believe I have a simple and MANAGEABLE approach to weight/fat loss. No calorie counting. No writing down what you eat each day. Simply follow a few relatively easy and specific rules and slowly trim up. If this interests you, I'm putting on a seminar for clients and friends on Thursday Feb. 26th at 7:00 PM at CityWide. (It's FREE) Please RSVP to Keith or Laura at 773-281-SLOW

CITYWIDE'S NEW TRAINER
In
November 2008, Becky Diebold joined CityWide's team of outstanding trainers.
Becky is a certified personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise
and the Slow Burn Method. Becky recently "relocated" to the city from
Naperville
where for three years she was a full-time trainer, practicing the
SuperSlow method exclusively. She first discovered this exercise protocol
observing her Mother's progress working with a trainer to rehabilitate an
orthopedic issue. After trying the workout herself, Becky became hooked
and knew this was the philosophy of training she wanted to practice and share
with others. Becky has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in
Pre-physical Therapy from the University
of Arizona. Recently Becky has been filling in for Alexa who has been home taking care of
her new baby girl. She still has time open and looks forward to
building her business at CityWide. In addition to her weekday schedule, Becky
will join Alexa and take clients on Sundays.

| WHAT WE'RE READING
BODY BY SCIENCE by Doug McGuff, M.D.
Body By Science challenges the common beliefs people have about exercise. It explains what science now knows about the role of exercise in human health. Exercise scientist Doug McGuff presents research that proves the positive effects of a high-intensity, low-frequency weight training program, while avoiding the negative effects of traditional aerobic exercise. This book provides great information that supports the philosophy of training CityWide believes in.

CITYWIDE SUPPORTS GIRLS IN THE GAME
CityWide SuperSlow is excited to announce our continued support
for Girls in the Game. Since 1995, Girls in the Game, a nonprofit
organization has emerged as a leading girls' health and fitness organization in
Chicago providing year round after school, summer and weekend sports, nutrition
and leadership programming for girls in need. Recent research reveals girls from
urban areas have less access to a healthy start and active lifestyle compared
to girls from suburban areas and all boys. Help us get Chicago's girls in
the game: volunteer, donate, get involved!
Field of Dreams, the 14th anniversary gala event, takes place on Wednesday,
March 4, 2009.
