Harrington's Battle of the Books Team Members Tiffany Zhai, Taylor Nesnay,
Nina Lin, Olivia Liu, Jayan Chan, and Joyce Li took first-place awards.

Where to start... It's a busy time of year, but an exciting one as well. We have a Hartford student headed to the National Geography Bee, our Boys' and Girls' Basketball Teams have just won their League Championships, and the Harrington Girls' Cross Country Team was also top in its division.
In February, the Board of Education honored 18 students from Hartford and Harrington Schools for their selection to participate in All South Jersey Bands and Orchestras as well as Rowan Youth Orchestra and Olympic Conference Honors Band.
Our students have participated in Math League competition, the Odyssey of the Mind Program, and the Corielle Science Fair recently, coming away with impressive results in all areas. And, our Battle of the Books Team took top honors again at the county level last week!

Four Candidates Seek Election to School Board
Two incumbent board of education members and two newcomers will seek election to the board of education here on April 20. According to Assistant Superintendent for Business and Board Secretary Robert F. Wachter Jr., three seats are open during the annual school election. Incumbents Michael Gallagher of Yarmouth Lane and Kathleen Wolfe of Meadow Drive will seek to retain their seats for a new three-year term. Also filing petitions for the seats were Marc Jones of St. Andrews Drive and Scott Jones of Braddock Terrace. Gallagher will be completing his second three-year term as a board member this year. Ms. Wolfe filled an unexpired term in August of 2005 was elected in April of 2006 to fill the third year of that unexpired term. She was subsequently elected to a full three-year term in April of 2007, and has therefore served for just less than five years.
