A desire to do more leads to a new partnership!

It all started with a volunteer outing last fall - employees of Assurant Employee Benefits were invited by one of their vendors to participate in a simple volunteer service project for The Rehabilitation Institute of Kansas City. The task was to clean and paint doors that would be used to display art for the Institute's upcoming fundraising event. Over three-days Assurant employees walked through the Institute, organized themselves into teams and started painting 50 doors. The initial encounter has lead to a new charitable partnership between Assurant Employee Benefits and The Rehabilitation Institute of Kansas City. "We are thrilled with the generosity of spirit Assurant Employee Benefits has shown to our organization and their sincere interest in helping improve opportunities and outcomes for individuals with disabilities," said Don Harkins, President of The Rehabilitation Institute of Kansas City.
