BIG NEWS: The Shelter Spay and Neuter Clinic will be opening May 4th!

Due to a generous grant from the Elmina B. Sewall Foundation, the Animal Welfare Society is pleased to announce the opening of our very own in-house low-income, low-cost spay and neuter clinic!

The goal of the Shelter Clinic is to help control the overpopulation of unwanted cats and kittens in our communities, thereby having fewer animals come to the shelter. In 2010, AWS cared for 2,211 cats and kittens.

Local veterinarian, Dr. Askin, will be performing the surgeries at a cost of $39.95 for those that qualify. The clinic will be available for cats only.

If you or someone you know receives or qualifies for State or Federal Aid and needs help spaying/neutering a cat, CALL 207-985-3244 TODAY to make an appointment!
Don't wait!
