Ever considered being an AWS Foster Family?

Join Us at the Feline Foster Forum!!

This Saturday, May 22,
at the Boston House*

1:00 - 3:00

The Animal Welfare Society has the capacity to provide housing for 170 cats at one time.  In 2009 we found homes for more than 1,400 cats.

How is this possible?

Two key factors for our adoption success are the various retail stores that serve as Satellite Adoption Centers for us and the wonderful volunteers who open their homes and hearts to those cats who cannot be made available because they are too young, too sick or are pregnant.

Providing foster homes for kittens, ill cats, and/or mama cats gives them a comfortable and loving environment until they are ready to be made available for adoption.

Are you a current AWS foster family or considering becoming a foster family?  This is a great opportunity to learn more about the program, have your questions answered and meet others those who are in the program.  Hosted by Shelter Co-Manager, Kirstin Mininni and Local Veterinarian, Dr.  Brion Reagor.

*The Boston House is located at the end of Holland Rd in West Kennebunk.  It is the white house past the playing fields.

The Volunteer Community at the AWS is a rewarding and encouraging experience. The animals love the attention and time spent with them to make their stay here a happy one. Without the help of our volunteers, we would be unable to accomplish all we do with the animals and for the animals.
