Naming Opportunities at AWS

The Animal Welfare Society is a private, non-profit humane society celebrating 42 years serving the people and animals of Southern Maine.  Memorial BrickWe primarily care for unwanted and homeless animals as we strive to find the homes that they deserve.  We do this through the generosity of concerned citizens and businesses who contribute to our non-profit society through donations, pledges, membership and bequests. These funds go directly to the care of the animals and the many other programs we offer to the people and animals of our communities.  Most people who learn that we have various naming opportunities at the Shelter are intrigued.  Here are some of the opportunities available.
  • Cage Sponsorship.  Prices are $60 - $240 per year or $5 - $20 per month and can be posted to a credit card.
  • Memorial Brick.  Celebrating an anniversary, birthday, adoption day?  Memorialize it with a 3.5 x 8 or 8 x 8, $100 and $500 respectively.  Also, a perfect, permanent way to let others know how much you loved a family member.
  • Benches.  We currently have three new benches available in our courtyard which can be named for a loved one or your business.  $2000.

Success Story Bette Davis and ChiliLast week we got a call from a volunteer checking on Chami now known as Bette Davis....so we thought we would send a few photos as an update.....
These 2 cats are "in love"!  Chili (who we adopted from you last year) thinks she is the greatest and the feeling is mutual.
Success StoryThey play and sleep together, and she loves to groom him.
He ignores me now since his new girlfriend has arrived.  Dale and I are so entertained by them, they are great company.
