As we prepare for the NHD national contest, we can look back on a fantastic year for National History Day in Wisconsin! We are proud of all of the 8,500 Wisconsin students and their teachers that took part in the program this year. VIEW 2011 STATE EVENT RESULTSThe 2011 NHD in Wisconsin State Event was our largest event ever, with more than 470 students representing more than 80 Wisconsin schools. NHD 2012: Revolution, Reaction, Reform in HistoryThe 2012 NHD theme is "Revolution, Reaction, Reform in History" and will again provide students with an excellent framework for understanding their own research topics. To learn more, check out the theme sheet.
GET READY FOR NHD 2012
It's never too early to begin thinking about NHD 2012! The theme sheet is a great way to preview the upcoming NHD theme, but be sure to get on our mailing list for the 2012 NHD in Wisconsin Curriculum CD. Curriculum CDs contain contest rules, an introductory student guidebook, a teacher's handbook, theme information, sample PowerPoint and lesson plans, and project ideas. CDs will begin shipping in late August.
