NOMINATIONS FOR LHC BOARD On behalf of the Nominating Committee, you are invited to nominate yourself and/or other members to serve on the Leadership Howard County Board of Directors for FY 2010 (7/1/09 - 6/30/10) and beyond. Graduates must be active dues-paying Members to serve on the Board. We are seeking dedicated, enthusiastic individuals who have skills, talents and resources in a variety of areas, including: · Fundraising · Special event planning · Public & media relations · Financial planning · Human resources · Communications · Business management · Nonprofit management · Board development · Accounting · Strategic planning · Program development The names submitted will be presented to the Nominating Committee, which is charged with developing a slate of nominees for the 2009-2010 Board of Directors. The committee has selection criteria based on skills, gender, age, ethnicity, professions etc. so LHC can maintain a board reflective of the community and its membership. HC DrugFree Teen Job & Volunteer Fair On Saturday, March 7, 2009, 10 am- 2pm at Long Reach High School, HC DrugFree will hold its annual Teen Job & Volunteer Fair, sponsored by Howard County General Hospital. The Teen Fair offers Howard County high school and college-age teens the opportunity to look for jobs and volunteer internships with more than 100 businesses and organizations as well as attend workshops. Chinese Feast to Benefit Silas Craft Collegians

Spring High School Junior Mock Interviews Area high schools are seeking volunteers to conduct 15-20 minute mock job interviews to their junior students. Students come prepared with a resume and interviewers provide them with feedback.
