We're Celebrating 45 Years of Service to the Latino Community in Colorado.
The Latin American Research and Service Agency (LARASA) was incorporated on March 13,1964. Twenty seven community leaders - including a judge, a social worker, a priest, a medical doctor, a state government employee, a union organizer, several businessmen, a school teacher, a sheriff, and a Denver Public School board member - created LARASA to articulate a vision of working together for the betterment of Latinos. With a grant from Mile High United Way (formerly known as the United Fund) LARASA began its long and illustrious history of advocating for the needs of the Latino community in Colorado. Today, 45 years later - and still a community partner of the Mile High United Way - LARASA's vision is to be an agency committed to the Latino community leading a collaborative multicultural effort to move the state of Colorado to a future without disparities in education, health, or quality of life.
