New 2012-2013 EP Events Schedule Announced

Upcoming events to focus on hot topic of environmental management

Environmental employees across the country are invited to a day of networking and professional development as ECO Canada hosts its 5th annual Environmental Professional (EP) Event Series. This year's theme of Environmental Management aims to satisfy industry demand as the relationship between business and environment continues to grow.

Past EP Event guest speaker, David Parkinson, Vice President of Maritime Operations with AMEC Environment & Infrastructure, spoke on Environmental Management and Business Success in Moncton, NB, this past June. Parkinson commented on the real business implications of environmental management and the relationship to a company's overall competitive advantage. Consequently, as the impact of environmental management becomes more recognized it will not be uncommon to see more CEOs with environmental management backgrounds.

The 2012-2013 EP Events season kicks-off in Edmonton in late September, moving across the country stopping in seven of Canada's major cities. A complete event schedule and link to registration can be found at www.eco.ca/networking.

For ten years ECO Canada has offered Environmental Professional (EP) certification, the only designation of its kind in Canada that provides professionals with formal recognition of their unique environmental competencies. ECO Canada's EP Events provide cutting-edge training and networking opportunities for both certified and non-certified EPs and the forum to share, learn and advance the environment sector.
