Summer Send-Off Events
In late July and early August, close to a dozen summer send-off events will take place around the world. Hosted by alumni or parents, the summer send-offs serve as a way to welcome new students to the College and introduce them and their families to the Babson community in their home city. Thank you to the alumni and parents who volunteer to make these events possible.
Babson Alumni Travel to Ghana and Rwanda This Summer
For the first international alumni service learning project, 11 Babson alumni are teaming up with current students, Lily Crosina '05, M'11, director of Alumni Network & Service Programs, and Dennis Hanno, dean of the Undergraduate School, to teach entrepreneurship in Ghana and Rwanda this summer. The first group of 12 alumni and students traveled to Ghana on July 21, and the second group of 14 leaves for Rwanda on July 28. Both groups will teach entrepreneurship to 200 students. Babson Alumni Entrepreneur Hall of Fame Dinner
Save the date for the fourth annual Babson Alumni Entrepreneur Hall of Fame dinner on Friday, October 14, honoring Stephen Spinelli Jr. M'92, founder of Jiffy Lube and former Vice Provost for Entrepreneurship & Global Management at Babson, and Ibrahim Rahman '00, the co-founder and CEO of GEO TV Network. More program details, including Rising Stars, those alumni with new and emerging entrepreneurial adventures, will be coming soon.

Babson Executive Education (BEE)
Registration is open for BEE's fall 2011 open enrollment programs, designed to meet the needs of individual business leaders and their organizations. Programs take place on campus at the Babson Executive Conference Center, and include Leadership & Influence, Bio-Pharma, Social Media, Women's Leadership, Finance, IT, and Retailing. BEE programs develop entrepreneurial leaders who create opportunities to drive growth and value creation. Babson alumni receive a 20 percent program discount with discount code ALUMNI. BABSON ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
Save the Date - Babson Alumni Association Meeting
On Saturday, September 24, the Babson Alumni Association will hold its annual board meeting on campus from 10 a.m.-noon. This is an opportunity for you to meet other alumni, share your ideas, and hear what the association is doing to foster engagement in the alumni community.
Third Annual Alumni Summer Book Club Event
Join us on Monday, August 29, from 4-5:30 p.m. for a talk, question-and-answer session, and book signing in the Carling-Sorenson Theater on campus. The book, A Hope in the Unseen: An American Odyssey from the Inner City to the Ivy League by Ron Suskind, is the choice of the third annual alumni summer book club and a required read for incoming first-year students. Cedric Jennings, the main subject of the book, will be in attendance at the event. Please email aheller@babson.edu with questions.

This summer has been very busy here on campus! More Babson students than ever before came to campus to study for the summer; we've created new entrepreneurship programs for high school students and we've been hard at work preparing for the arrival of the Class of 2015.
