BABSON NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

Babson tops University of Pennsylvania (Wharton), Indiana University (Kelley), University of Southern California (Marshall), and MIT (Sloan). West Coast Consolidation Babson successfully launched the Fast Track MBA program in San Francisco in March, and this fall, it will become the West Coast base for this growing program. Babson will discontinue the Portland Fast Track MBA program to focus on developing this initiative, expanding the San Francisco cohort to two sections for March 2011. Current cohorts in Portland will receive Babson's full support and all program services through graduation. Given the six week interval between face-to-face sessions, San Francisco presents a viable and attractive option for those from Portland who want to pursue an MBA.

Supporting Pakistan Now... Babson has reached out to 44 Pakistani alumni and 23 current students affected by the devastating floods in that region. Zohair Zakaria '96 sent these photos of a camp in his area that is providing temporary shelter to about 1,000 people. Campus fundraising relief efforts are being coordinated by AMAN, Babson's South Asian Student Association, through Esha Bawa '11 and the Bernon Center. To learn more about relief efforts, contact the Bernon Center at 781-239-5354 or thomasl@babson.edu.
...And Working Together in the Future Separately, Babson this week announced an agreement with the Pakistan Institute of Business Administration (IBA) to provide technical services to develop and manage the school, as well as establish a Center for Entrepreneurship Excellence. The IBA joins Abu Dhabi's School of Management as another inaugural member of the Babson Global Consortium for Entrepreneurship Educators -- a group of select institutions of higher education from around the world that share Babson's vision of educational, economic, and societal change driven by the power of entrepreneurial thought and action.
