New golf course opening in Pafos |
One of the most important new European golf courses of recent years, The Elea Golf Club near Pafos, will be officially opened this autumn by the course's designer and six-time Major winner Sir Nick Faldo.
The Elea Golf Club, which is 8km away from Pafos International Airport, will be the centerpiece of Elea Estate, a premium development that will boast luxurious villas and apartments, a boutique hotel supported by a range of dining options and extensive spa facilities.
This magnificent par 71 golf course commands a striking location above the shimmering Mediterranean Sea and has been meticulously crafted through dramatic landscape, featuring imposing weathered outcrops of limestone that offer a unique character across the course.

The Antiquities Department in cooperation with the Cyprus Tourism Organisation has started a new service for the usage of selected archaeological sites for conferences and incentives affairs.
The sites that are available as well as the aims for which they can be developed are mentioned in http://www.visitcyprus.biz, which should be completed and be sent to the CTO's emails as stated at the end of the document, the latest six weeks ahead of the event.
The CTO shall confirm with the Antiquities Department that the use of the archaeological sites is for the aims of conference tourism and the Antiquities Department shall act with the lawful procedures for the use of the sites.
Sites in the scheme include the following:
Palaipafos (Aphrodite's Temple)
Collosi Castle
Medieval Castle Lemesos
Pafos Fort
Kourion Amphitheatre
Larnaka Castle
The House of Chatzigeorgakis Kornesios

بذل الرياضي شفيق غزالة جهوداً جبارة، حيث أمضى 38 ساعة في التجديف لمسافة 200 كلم، أي ما يعادل 20 ألف تجديفة، قبل أن يحقق هدفه في الوصول إلى وطنه، وبلغت سرعته 5 كم/ساعة.
وهذه أول مرة يقوم فيها رياضي لبناني بنشاط من هذا النوع.
دعمت منظمة السياحة القبرصية هذه المبادرة بهدف تعزيز الروابط بين البلدين الجارين اللذين وكما تبين من المحاولة الأخيرة يمكن السفر بينهما باستخدام قوارب الكانو أيضاً!

بدء رحلات الحافلات المكشوفة المكونة من طابقين في لارنكا |
يسر مجلس سياحة لارنكا الإعلان عن بدء تسيير رحلات الحافلات المكشوفة المكونة من طابقين ضمن مدينة لارنكا وضواحيها ابتداء من شهر مايو / أيار هذا العام.
الهدف من تسيير هذه الرحلات هو منح السياح فرصة التعرّف على الأماكن السياحية الرائعة في مدينة لارنكا وضواحيها في وسائط نقل بديلة، وهذا يزيد من احتكاك السائح بالقرى المحتفظة على التراث المحلي.
والملاحظ أن السياحة الريفية قد تطورت كثيراً في تلك القرى خلال الأعوام الماضية. يمكن للسائح أيضاً التعرف على تاريخ وثقافة لارنكا الغنيين.
