Limassol International Marathon GSO is a race that started only 3 years ago in Limassol Cyprus and which the new organizers, Olympus Event Management, aspire to develop into a very exciting and unique event.

 

Having managed to earn the accreditation of AIMS and IAAF, the Limassol Marathon aims to expand into a big athletic celebration where Marathon runners from all over the world will meet to compete together.

 

The race is a 42k flat run all the way along the soothing sea front coastal road of Limassol a spirited and cosmopolitan sea side town which will offer you a rare combination of the sea and a mixture of modern buildings and historical remnants.

 

The island of Cyprus, the birth place of the mythological Aphrodite, the goddess of Love and Beauty, a destination that effortlessly combines a storied past 11000 years long with modern European culture invites you to experience the combination of sports and exercise with breath taking scenery and will offer you an exhilarating run of a lifetime.

 

Cyprus weather in February is perfect for the race as the temperature in this point of the year ranges around 15 degrees centigrade. As February is one of the low-season months, the accommodation and flight prices are also lower, making the journey to the island for the Marathon great value for money!
