Belgium Youth
Greetings!

In 1998, SQ began as a movement. It was designed to be more like the Civil Rights revolution in the 50's. Ask a marcher or volunteer during the civil rights movement what the mission or values were and they would have looked confused. If you had cut them, they would have bled justice, equality, and the end of racial discrimination. They were involved and they sacrificed because they could not separate themselves from the cause. It was a part of them.

At SportQuest we must recapture this same passion. It was the heartbeat of early Christendom and has been the driving force behind the movements and periods of positive change throughout history. It doesn't matter so much whether someone can recite a mission statement or values. What matters is that if you cut them, they bleed the good news of Jesus Christ.

I believe that this generation, like many before it, is living in serious times.  In the months ahead, SportQuest will undergo some radical changes...a paradigm shift; to better position ourselves to change and do "our part" in God's redemptive plan.

My desire is to "make the most of every opportunity" and "live a life worthy of the calling I have received." May each of us hold on regardless the cost. May God use us to change the world.

Trusting God!

We recently e-mailed the following letter to our SQ alumni and contacts.  This is a huge step of faith as we trust God for a miracle both for people participating this summer and the finances to operate.  Please pray for a miracle and feel free to forward this e-mail on to others.

When we try to hold on and control things; somehow, we end up loosing control.  So, despite our own (SQ) financial crisis and challenging ministry environment we are going to operate with an opposite spirit.  We are going to let go and give ourselves away.  Our goal is expose as many people to the hope we have in Jesus Christ...even if it costs us everything.

Dear (name),
After reading this letter I hope you find yourself scratching your head and wondering...could this really be true!?!!??!

SportQuest is stepping out in faith and asking you to join athletes from around the world and come to Belgium this summer.  But here's the BIG deal...we are knocking the cost of the trip down sooo low that you have no excuse not to go

Our country and the world is experiencing some tough times economically, morally, and even spiritually.  We hear a lot of negative, irrelevant news every day.  But what is relevant today is our faith!  There is a God in heaven who will never forsake us, even when the world has lost all hope.  In these times of insecurity, God still calls us to "go and make disciples."

We know that NOW, more than ever, is the time to trust God with our lives and with our finances.  Since the summer of 1998, SQ has traveled to Belgium impacting a country through the platform of sports.  We have influenced thousands and seen hundreds make a decision for Christ.

Here's the dilemma though, there is much more work to be done!  And as our world changes so must SQ.  We are taking a huge step of faith regarding this summer.  Instead of raising prices, stopping our ministry or just downsizing, we want to give as much away as possible and really live by faith!

In order for SQ to continue its ministry in Belgium this summer we need YOU to go!

How?  Here's how!  As you may know, our trip to Belgium previously had a price tag of $2,995.
BUT, we are bringing the cost of the trip down to $1,895!  A savings of $1,100!!!

The reason for the reduction???  We need you on the frontlines of the battle in Belgium.  We need you to go.  Will you trust God?  Will you do your part?  We are doing our part.  We are doing something that is crazy from a natural perspective.  But from a spiritual point of view we want to impact the Kingdom.  Don't ask me how we are going to make up the difference in cost...we are trusting God!  People need to understand that a hope in Jesus surpasses all other hope in this world.

Here are the dates for the Belgium trip:
Dates: Trip A - July 19th - August 3rd
           Trip B - July 19th - August 8th
The cost for trip A or B is $1,895

If you are interested, please call (317) 270-9495 or e-mail us (info@sportquest.org) ASAP so we can provide you with the sign-up deadline and other important info.  Please act swiftly to the opportunity at hand.  "Here I am, send me!"  Don't wait, sign up today and forward this e-mail to all your friends, family, and anyone who might be interested to GO!

The Mission
Belgium Youth In 1998, SportQuest ministries responded to a mandated mission by Jesus for all of us to go into the world and share the gospel.  Driven by faith, Kent Susud, founder and director of the Indiana-based ministry, responded to the call placed on his heart to create a 501 (c) (3) non-profit in order to continue the great work God had begun in him and to carry it out until the end.  SportQuest ministries, since 1998, has been able to draw athletes from the north, south, east and west of the United States to participate in a global evangelism effort to help local churches in foreign countries flourish on hallowed ground, and to disciple those who may not understand the depth of joy and life that comes with having a relationship with Jesus Christ.  The evangelism outreach uses the gift of athletic ability God has given to young competitors, who are freshman in high school and up to college age, in order to help achieve the mission.  Every step made by SportQuest ministries is led and influenced by God's direction, under the pretense that what is impossible with man is possible with God.
