Dear Friends:

We're sending you warm holiday wishes this week, with gratitude for the many ways in which you've helped us serve our community this year. We're particularly grateful to the folks who've sent their stories to share in our new website, which will be debuting at the turn of the year. Our thanks also to the many who've made generous holiday or year-end, tax-deductible gifts to support our work in the coming year. Thank you! We literally could not do it with your help!

What could be greater than our weekly e-newsletter? How about complete access, anytime, to every issue of our e-newsletter? We've created an archive of our e-news, complete with descriptions of the "highlights" of each issue! This page will be featured on our new web site, which will debut with the turn of the year.

We'd like to acknowledge your birthday on our PSCKY calendar. Send us a note with your name & birthday (you don't have to advertise the year of your birth!) and we'll add it to our new calendar!

TO TELL OR NOT TO TELL?
In an article authored by Lizz Carroll of DiversityInc., the question of when an employer needs to be alerted to an employee's disability is looked at from a number of angles. It is not always evident to others that someone has Parkinson's.Many people with Parkinson's do not show a tremor because their medications control them.Or, their other symptoms may be minor and not show up in the workplace.  This article brings different points of view together from several experts who look at possible options you may want to consider when you are thinking about informing your employer about your non-visible disability, such as Parkinson's. You may want to read their diverse points of view online.

We understand you want to work as long as you can and hope that this article will help you look at this very important question from experts on this subject. This may also help initiate some communication with your loved ones to help them understand your situation better.
