Students at Nooksack Valley High School listen to Holocaust survivor, Noemi B.Students at Nooksack Valley High School hear a Holocaust Survivor
Noemi B., Holocaust survivor, spoke to over 300 students at Nooksack Valley HS in Everson.  Teacher Kirsten Jensen organized and initiated the program.  Kirsten has been selected by the Holocaust Center to attend the Jewish Foundation for the Righteous (JFR) Summer Institute this summer. Teachers in BerlinTeachers Travel to Berlin
Sponsored by the Holocaust Center and Museum Without Walls. 15 teachers spent a week in Berlin learning the history of the city and studying the Holocaust.  Kim Spradlin, a teacher at Eastmont Jr. High, shared her experiences...
 
From the moment I decided to travel to Berlin with Museum Without Walls & the Holocaust Education Center, the anticipation of seeing this particular city overwhelmed me.  I could barely control my curiosity as I contemplated what it would mean to travel to a place that held such a long and proud, yet tragically bitter history.  I honestly didn't know what to expect; I had no preconceived notions of what the city would feel like or look like, but I knew that visiting Berlin would affect me in an indescribable way...read more on the Center's BLOG.
