NOVEMBER AT THE Y

Festival of Trees - Join us for this holiday event to support the YMCA Guardian financial assistance program on Nov. 19th at 7:00 p.m. at the Smithfield Center.  Enjoy live music by "Touch of Spice," food, and auction.  Tickets are available at the Welcome Center, any staff or Board Member, or at the door.  Need child care?  Your children can enjoy Kids Night Out at the Y, FREE, if you are attending the Festival of Trees (pre-registration is required).  Have you bought your tickets yet?  Click here to view a flyer.

Family Volunteer Day - We are collecting non-perishable food items for our annual food drive.  Your youth group, business, civic club, and the community are invited to help collect food and then join us at the Y to sort, fill, and decorate food boxes on Sunday, Nov. 20th, at 2:00 p.m.  The decorated boxes will be delivered to our neighbors in need.

Healthy Holiday - Stop by the Welcome Center and pick up gift certificates for family and friends.  We can even design a special package to include membership, child care, programs, or personal training.

Room Rental - Schedule your child's birthday party or holiday gathering at the Y and leave the fuss to us!  The price of the package depends on the level of service you desire.  Click here to contact Angela Sproul, Youth and Family Program Director; she will be glad to help with your event.

YOUTH SUPER SPORTS - BASKETBALL

What is Y Super Sports?  Y Super Sports is the YMCA's newSPORT IMAGE 1 progressive program that combines the philosophy of past YMCA sports, Everyone Plays - Everyone Wins, with new program concepts.  Practices are based on the "games approach" where players learn skills and tactics by playing games during each practice session.

Can children of all sports abilities play?  The goal of the program is that all youth who have a desire to play a sport can find a place on a YMCA team.  Children of all skill and development levels are welcome.

How many practices and games?  One game and one practice are held each week.

Registration starts Nov. 14th, with the season starting in January.  Register at the Welcome Center or online by clicking here.
