Strong Families Make Strong Communities

Family Fun Night - March 5th
The YMCA is responding to the nation's growing health crisis by offering programs that promote health and well-being in spirit, mind and body for all.
 
Please join us for a Family Fun Night on Friday, March 5th from 6:30-8:30p.  Please R.S.V.P. to the Welcome Center by Wednesday, March 3rd.
  • Healthy dinner catered by Smithfield Station
  • Nutritional information
  • Family-friendly gym games
  • Pool will be open and available for open swim
Join the fun!  Free and open to all members. 
 
 


Breakfast with the Easter Bunny - March 20th
 
Join us at 8:30a for a pancake breakfast.  Bring your camera, you might get a chance for a photo op with the Easter Bunny!  Please register at the Welcome Center; $3 for members, $5 for program participants.
 
Don't forget your Easter baskets for the Egg Hunt sponsored by IOW Parks and Rec.  Ages 4 and under "hunt" at 9:30a, and ages 5-10 will start at 9:50a.

Lunch Time Cycle Class
Haven't tried a cycle class yet?  The Tuesday class at 12:15p will be perfect for you!  Change up that noontime rountine and try the class in our new Cycle Studio. 
 
 
Open Volleyball is moving to Wednesday
Bump, set and spike...join us Wednesday nights from 5:30 - 7:30p for open volleyball.
 
Spring Break Camp
Send you kids to Spring Break camp April 5-9th, from 6:00a-6:00p.  Activities will include swim time, gym games, crafts, and fun!  Please click here to contact Cheryl Brooks-Marshall for more information.
 
Kid's Night Out - March 19th
Parents!  Enjoy an evening out while your kids enjoy an exciting night at the YMCA.  Children participate in activities including games, crafts, movies, swimming (age restrictions), and dinner.  $15.00 for Members and Program Participants.  Register at the Welcome Center or click here to use our online program guide. 
 
Teen Fustion - March 20th
Open to teens in 6th to 12th grades.  Join us for swimming, basketball, games and fellowship from 6:00-9:00p.  Bring your swim suit and towel, money for concessions, a great attitude, and lots of energy.  Members $2, program participants $5.  Please contact Caitlyn O'Hara for more information. 


Volunteer Opportunities
Smithfield Sprint, Saturday, March 27th.  The Luter Family YMCA is hosting the opening day of the Virginia Triathlon Series with the Smithfield Sprint.  Volunteers are needed to help the day of the race.  Your investment of a few hours of time will gain a donation from the race timing company to our Strong Communities Campaign.  Click here to email Caitlyn for a list of available duties.
 
Healthy Kid's Day in the Park at Nike Park, Saturday, April 17th.
Inflatables, information, games, food and fun from 10:00a-2:00p. Volunteers are needed. Please click here to email Cheryl for more information.
