MRAC FY 2011 Grant Guidelines



These are some of the more significant changes in MRAC's FY 2011 (July 1, 2010 - June 30, 2011) grant guidelines. This overview should not be considered comprehensive nor take the place of the careful reading of MRAC grant guidelines and applications when preparing to apply.

Deadlines:
  • There are two Arts Learning deadlines (11/8/2010 and 2/7/2011)
  • Organizational Development and Capital grant deadlines are in September (9/13/2010)
  • There is only one deadline for Creative Intersections. (1/10/2011)
Arts Activities Support and Community Arts Grants:
  • Arts Activities Support and Creative Intersections requires a 50% cash match. 
  • Community Arts requires a 25% cash match.
  • In-kind may not be used for this cash match and is no longer included on the project budget forms.
  • Groups may apply to any two of the four project support deadlines (Arts Activities Support or Community Arts) per MRAC fiscal year, but may receive only one project support award.
For the Arts Activities Support and Creative Intersections grant programs (50% cash match):

If you have received or are applying for project support from other Minnesota State funding sources for the same activity, you cannot receive more than 67% of the total cost of the project from the combination of MRAC and other State funds. 

For the Community Arts, Organizational Development, Capital and Arts Learning grant programs (25% cash match):

If you have received or are applying for project support from other Minnesota State funding sources for the same activity, you cannot receive more than 80% of the total cost of the project from the combination of MRAC and other State funds

The FY 2011 Creative Intersections, Arts Learning, and Organizational Development grant guidelines and applications have not been released.
