Dear ,
Hanging on the walls of our home are dozens of pictures. Pictures of children, moms and dads, grandparents, brothers and sisters, and even a friend or two. Reminders of the people in our lives that we care about, grew up with or raised, and most of all love with all of our hearts.
As I thought about all the pictures on our walls, and throughout our house, my thoughts turned to my Heavenly Father. I wonder if he has pictures of me hanging on heavenly walls? What if he were to show his iPhone to someone, would my picture be the screensaver? Do you think that God's Facebook page would have pictures of me on it? If he were to open His wallet, would he be proud to pull out my photo to show His friends?
My heart leaps for joy when I ponder the answers.
OF COURSE HE DOES!
Just as we remember our loved ones by prominently displaying their pictures, God remembers us! He even goes beyond hanging our picture, He seats us with Him. If we could, wouldn't we do the same? Rather than having an image of someone to remind us, wouldn't we be right with the person 24/7 to love, cherish, and lavish with affection? Sure we would!
Next time you are feeling as if you don't matter, or that no one cares, remember that the Creator of the universe loves you so much that He has your picture prominently displayed. Even more, He is with you and we with Him.
"And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus" - Ephesians 2:6
