Who of us would give up the comforts of our lives, however meager they may be, to be placed in humble poverty to serve people who could care less? But isn't that what true love is all about; giving sacrificially without regard for loss of comfort, privilege, reward or status? God did this perfectly as He gave us His best that first Christmas.
Love came down at Christmas, Love all lovely, Love Divine, Love was born at Christmas, Star and Angels gave the sign.
Worship we the Godhead, Love Incarnate, Love Divine, Worship we our Jesus, But wherewith for sacred sign?
Love shall be our token, Love shall be yours and love be mine, Love to God and all men, Love for plea and gift and sign.
