Dean Steve Crosby Pic 4    Message from the Dean

It's been a big week at McCormack Graduate School:

Last Friday, we launched the Commonwealth Compact with the Governor, Mayor and over 500 civic leaders in attendance.  Vanessa Caldern-Rosado, Gerontology Ph.D. 2000, was one of our powerful speakers.  It was an important and moving event.  Click here http://www.mccormack.umb.edu/CommCompact.php to see New England Cable News coverage and my remarks choreographed with extraordinary photographs of Boston history.

We just heard that James Bulot, a 2004 Gerontology Ph.D. Graduate has been appointed Executive Director of the Governor's Office of Elderly Affairs in Louisiana.

Today, we will be proud to grant 61 Ph.D., Masters, and Graduate Certificate awards to graduates of our great Gerontology and Public Policy/Public Affairs student body.

Please note several new interesting job opportunities below, especially the Assistant Director of our MSPA Program which could be a great fit for one of our many alumni.

Also, I hope you'll put the June 9th Women, Wages & Work Policy Conference on your calendar.

Have a wonderful summer.  McCormack Updates will be less frequent as the academic rhythm slows, but we will be in touch.
