Breakthrough Your Exercise Rut March 2009

holiday foodsIt is so easy to fall into our daily routines.  We find one or two things we enjoy doing and forget about all those other activities that inspire us. Last week while I was in Florida my sister and I picked up tennis racquets for the first time in years. My sister used to be ranked, yet over the years lost touch with her athletic abilities. We hit balls for hours. It was an intense workout, yet hardly what one would consider exercise (it was fun!). Usually she has to push herself to get to the gym, but with tennis she couldn't wait to get on the court and play. If only she changed her routine around, exercise would be easy!

It seems somewhere along the way many of us have come to associate exercise as an obligation rather then something that we can enjoy. So it got me thinking about how we view exercise and how some people find it a big challenge while others can simply have fun. What is fun for you? What makes you light up? What excites you? Try to make time for your fun exercise routine this week. It will energize you, allow you to decompress and oh yeah burn some calories.

"LIZ STEIN CHANGED MY LIFE!"

"I have been suffering with Endometriosis for twenty years. I have had a couple of surgical procedures to treat my condition, only for the endometriosis to return. Each month I would be bedridden with intense pain, eased only slightly by heavy doses of prescription medication. The ramifications of the medication was causing all kinds of problems on a health and wellness level, not to mention the emotional toll caused by the absence in my toddlers life.

I came to Liz desperate for a solution. My initial goal was to be pain free 6 months to a year of our beginning. I am ASTONISHED to say that within 4 weeks, I was completely off my prescription meds and was indeed pain free"
