Social networking represents a passive approach to marketing, because you're relying on others to keep coming back to your blog, Facebook page, Twitter feed, YouTube channel, etc. The problem is that people can be easily lured away to another person or idea who's more attention-grabbing. Therefore, what proactive marketing steps are you taking to reach your target audience? Don't forget the power of direct promotion, such as newsletters, public speaking, media interviews, personal apperances, magazine articles, community groups, etc. Pick at least one of these ideas, and make headway on it this week.
