It's the new signature Timber Ridge event! Put on your beer tastin' snowshoes at this uncommon celebration of two lesser known pastimes in Traverse City: beer tasting and snowshoeing, of course! Music, beer, food and fun on the trails...What better way to spend your Saturday afternoon? Especially since all this fun is for a good cause: Net proceeds and $5 from each entry will benefit Bethany, a family foster care and adoption agency with a location in Traverse City.
A variety of Michigan breweries are on board with their tasty ales, wheats, IPAs and stouts. The list includes Arbor Brewing, Bell's, Dark Horse, Founder's, Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales, Leelanau Brewing, New Holland, Right Brain, Short's, and Traverse Brewing Company. Mackinaw Brewing sandwiches, palate-pleasing soups, and pasta from Schelde's, Freshwater Lodge, and Travino are on the menu. Live music, winter volleyball and fun out on the trails round out the day's festivities.
But we had you at "snowshoes", right? Or...was that "brews"?
Tickets are on sale now ($15 in advance, $20 at the door while they last). Ticket includes commemorative pint glass (while supplies last), two tasting tickets and trail pass. Purchase them on our website or call Timber Ridge at (231) 947-2770 for ticket-selling locations.
Safe ride is available! Free shuttle service from Timber Ridge to several Traverse City locations, including downtown, Bayshore Resort, and Cherry Tree Resort & Hotel, will be provided by Celtic Transport. Shuttles depart Timber Ridge at 5:30, 6:15, and 7:00, so plan ahead! Private shuttle and taxi services will be available for standard fees.
Snowshoe rentals will be limited onsite, so try to make arrangements in advance with Brick Wheels (231-947-4274) in Traverse City. Cross-country skiers are welcome to participate, but we recommend getting into the spirit of the event and trying your hand (er, feet) at snowshoeing!

Event will proceed rain or shine, snow or not, so tickets are nonrefundable.
