The Vintage Shoppe
Cuvelier Los Andes is the Argentine project of the Cuvelier family and winemaker Michel Rolland whose wine legacy has been established by their Grand Cru Bordeauxs of Chateau Leoville-Poyferre and Chateau Le Crock.  The Cuvelier family was seduced by the quality of wines coming out of Mendoza and planted their own vineyards at the base of the Andes Cordillera.

The 2006 Coleccion is composed of 60% Malbec, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, with dashes of Syrah and Petit Verdot. It's grapes were hand picked, unfined & unfiltered, and aged for 12 months in French oak. It has a rich ruby red color with wild aromas of black raspberry, truffle, chocolate, roasted meat, and sexy oak. It is lush and smooth but not overly sweet, with rich black raspberry framed by dusty tannins and iron flavors that echo from the fertile earth.
