Here is an exceptional Spanish red that is hand-made with grapes from 30-50 year old Tempranillo vines in Ribera del Duero. The grape harvest on the lands of Ribera del Duero is, with its century-old tradition, more than just a ritual, it is a festival. The fruit of Ribera del Duero, is harvested by hand, as it has been for centuries, and transported to the wine cellars in boxes, to prevent the berries from being crushed.
It has a deep and intense red colour, with purplish tinges, and tasty aromas of ripe red and purple fruits, together with subtle touches of chocolate and liquorice. In the mouth you can appreciate the fruit. It is fresh, tasty, meaty and lengthy, with round tannins that leave a long and pleasing memory.
