Hi Everyone!
So just when it hits late September, as it officially becomes fall in the northern hemisphere, we get summer...go figure. I am sitting with a fan blasting away at me, a cold drink by my side and an an ice pack wrapped around my neck to keep me cool...phew!
I think there is irony in this, in that all summer long we have been griping how it has been so darn cool and foggy...oh what I wouldn't give for a little fog right now!
But soon it will be cooler, and we will be aware of the passage of yet another summer in our lives. What did you accomplish this summer? Did you eat a little better than the summer prior? Did you take up another form of exercise, find a new hobby, fall in love? Did you experience loss and sadness, excitement and joy, challenge and drama, and if so what did you learn from these events?
It is all about learning...yep that's all it is. Every success is something we learn we can do. Every "failure" is not failure: it is feedback on how something does not work for us. Look at those kids in the picture. Do you think if one were to somehow drop their ice cream cone in the sand they would blame themselves for being clumsy? Nope, they would cry and move on, but with the knowledge that they need to be more careful with that cone.
So if you have been beating yourself up for something you feel you should have, could have, would have done better, bigger, whateverer , let it go. Give yourself credit for whatever positive changes you have made, no matter how insignifigant you deem them, and learn from what did not work. And then decide what you want to do next. How will you spend this fall? Winter? Spring? What do you want, and how can you make it happen?

PRODUCT SUGGESTION
SILK ALMOND MILK I have been touting this product for awhile in the meeting room, so thought I should put it in the newsletter too.
When I first came back to WW one of the hardest things for me to give up was half and half in my coffee. I switched to light creamers, which always tasted fake to me, and then to soy milk, which was okay, but did not make me sing the way my old coffee did. Well, here is a milk which tastes just delicious in coffee and even drinking it by itself is great. It is thick and creamy and only 1 point per cup, so those of us with a serious coffee habit can have multiple cups for minimal yummy points. Works for me!
By the way, I have tried other brands of almond milk, and this Silk Pure Almond is by far the best. It comes only in the half gallon size, and also comes in vanilla for higher points. I prefer the original. I have found it at Safeway and Olivers, and I am assuming most markets carry it, as it is a popular brand.

AMAZING CHALK DRAWINGS!!
I have to admit I do not know the name of this artist. His work has been sent to me a number of times over the years. As you look at these images keep in mind this person is doing them on a flat piece of concrete. Incredible!!

An Interesting Film

This movie did not send me into rapture, but it was an interesting documentary that might help some people get over the idea that their health is dependant on doctors, medicine and surgery. The message in this film has tremendous merit, so I hope those of you who have weight-related health issues will take the time to rent it from Netflicks or your local video store.

took to blossom.
