Hi Everyone!
As I write the sun is setting and the encroaching fog bank is glowing pink and lavender. The finches at my feeder are crowding in for one last seed and the apples in the orchard are still little and green, but tinged with red.
Ah, summer. It is late July and we are in the depth of it. I hope you are having an exciting, fun-filled season, chock full of outings and BBQs, camping trips and relaxing days at home. And I hope you have made exercise and healthy eating a part of your summer. With all the fresh produce this time of year, and the glorious weather beckoning us to the great outdoors, it can be easy and joyful to make summer the best time of year to lose those extra pounds!

PRODUCT SUGGESTIONS
SNAPPLE METABOLISM KIWI PEAR
I was at a deli the other day, scrounging in their drink case for anything that looked the least bit drinkable, and found this. Oh my!! It is less than a point for the bottle and I have to say it is quite delicious! I have never really been a fan of Snapple drinks but this one is quite unique in flavor, and seems reasonably healthy to boot. What will they think of next?

LAKE CHAMPLAIN CHOCOLATES
Many of you have heard me say that I have 4 points worth of chocolate every day, and some have wondered where do I find chocolate sold in small quantities. Here are some of my favorites. These incredibly delicious squares are sold in tubs at the counters of supermarkets like Olivers, Whole Foods and Pacific. Each one is a point and it is some of the best chocolate made anywhere!

FESTIVAL TIME!!
Many of you know I am the creater and organizer of the Bodega Seafood Art & Wine Festival and it is coming right up. I hope you will take time to check out the website and plan a trip out to the event. It is a wonderful festival which benefits both Stewards of the Coast & Redwoods (the non-profit which works with California State Parks in this region) and the Bodega Volunteer Fire Department. Despite there being typical festival food, you will find many more healthy choices than at a standard show such as this.
