As I write this, Alan is winging his way to India with board members Patricia Nealon and Debra Rohr to visit both Alleppey and Andra Pradesh. Our October newsletter should have some news from his trip.
In his absence, I thought I would share the good news that the Franciscan Family Apostolate has been acknowledged by the National Fraternity of the Secular Franciscan Order through the nomination of founder Alan Ouimet for the 2010 Peace Award. We are honored and blessed with this nomination. It reflects the true mission of the Apostolate to follow in the example of St. Francis in bringing peace and love to the world through work with impoverished.
Thank you for all of you who support the FFA. Without you, nothing would be possible.
