Abortion: From Debate to Dialogue Photo

"Is abortion a form of genocide?"

Many JFA volunteers have voiced the need for more training prior to discussing JFA's genocide Exhibit panels during campus outreaches (see pages 9 and 10 in the JFA Exhibit brochure).

If you have attended the JFA seminar (Abortion: From Debate to Dialogue) and JFA outreach

YOU'RE INVITED!

Because equipping ambassadors to move abortion from a debate to a dialogue takes practice...

Justice For All is conducting an advanced "Abortion: From Debate to Dialogue" (ADD) training seminar for past seminar participants and outreach volunteers.

October 8, 2011

9:30am to 1:30pm

Christ Community Church

7801 East Kenyon Drive, Tucson, AZ

Family Life Center, Room #202.

JFA has hired Trent Horn, former JFA senior training specialist who now serves as Respect Life Coordinator for the Marriage and Respect Life Office in the Diocese of Phoenix, to conduct this advanced training event.

Our objective is to create a JFA Feet Work opportunity in conjunction with an October 10-11 outreach being conducted by the Center for Bio-Ethical Reform (CBR) at the University of Arizona (UofA).

This JFA Advanced ADD seminar will include:

  • At least two new activities specifically targeting legality of abortion and the genocide comparison.

  • Ample time for Q and A using conversation examples from your last feet work experience ("What question should I have asked instead when he/she said... ?")

  • Other topics that may be covered include facts about the unborn, abortion procedures, responding to "My Body, My Choice" and other bodily rights arguments.

  • Past Free Speech Boards will be used to understand a variety of pro-choice arguments and to practice responding.

The application of this Advanced ADD training will be the October 10-11 CBR outreach on the UofA campus. CBR describes its "Genocide Awareness Project" (GAP) as

"... a traveling photo-mural exhibit which compares the contemporary genocide of abortion to historically recognized forms of genocide. It visits university campuses around the country to show as many students as possible what abortion actually does to unborn children and get them to think about abortion in a broader historical context."

JFA is seriously indebted to CBR:

  • CBR's director, Gregg Cunningham, influenced JFA's director, David Lee, to enter full-time pro-life work in 1993 and remains a favorite mentor.
  • Panel 3, Side 2 of the JFA Exhibit ("What is it called when the victims have no choice?") was directly modeled after some of the original GAP signs.*

CBR Southwest Director, Jason Walsh, is leading the UofA outreach on Monday and Tuesday, Oct 10-11. He welcomes JFA trained participants at the outreach, and plans to attend this Advanced ADD seminar himself (he is an alumnus of our 2007 ASU training).

There is no cost for this seminar to JFA alumni, and pizza lunch is on us!

We hope that you'll take advantage of this timely opportunity to continue building your ambassador skills on behalf of at-risk unborn children and their families.

Your support helps JFA train students to reach abortion-vulnerable moms like April. Her son Nick is alive today because of JFA's outreach to her campus!

Abortion? Unthinkable.

Justice For All is training thousands to make abortion unthinkable for millions, one person at a time.

How? By equipping you to have compassionate, persuasive dialogues about abortion so you can help change hearts and save lives!
