Stamp Out Hunger
On Saturday, May 8, your US Postal Letter Carrier will be collecting non-perishable food items for distribution to local food pantries, including UCM. To take part , simply fill up a grocery bag with non perishable items (click here for UCM's food pantry list) and leave it by your mail box or your front door. Your letter carrier will take it back to the Post Office for distribution to local food banks. |

Breakfast for Local Business Leaders is a Blast

 | On Thursday, April 8, 2010, UCM hosted a breakfast for local business leaders with special guest, former Redskin and football hall of famer, Art Monk. Mr. Monk spoke about the importance of supporting organizations like UCM and investing in our community. The event gave UCM the opportunity to thank local businesses for their past support and educate our neighbors on the many services that UCM provides. Members of UCM's Executive Leadership team talked about the work that UCM does and told stories of UCM clients who had been helped by the organization's programs. Read more.... |

important!," says Christine Fiske,

Room at Christmas time, collect and distribute school supplies in the fall, assist
with the golf benefit that Hilltop Golf Course hosts for us each year, and contribute

Open House - Open Hearts Helps
Many In Need
UCM would like to thank Daniel Sanders and Karen Corbett-Sanders of Four Sales Ltd and Pat Flynn of Weichert Realty for raising over $5,000 at the 2nd Annual Open House-Open Hearts Benefit for UCM held on April 11, 2010. In addition to financial support, guests at the open house brought more than 1,400 lbs of food for UCM's Food Pantry. Thanks to everyone who took part in this event!
