Greetings!
Isn't it fun planning a surprise? Doing something nice for a friend can be such a great adventure. Once the idea is born, there are details to work out, and inevitably more ideas spring to life along the way.
At WhatFriendsDo we've been in the midst of a bit of a surprise for all of you for quite some time. In the coming weeks we'll be launching a new version of WhatFriendsDo. We've been planning, redesigning, creating new features, and trying to make a better tool for you.
So keep an eye on your inbox. We'll send you an ecard soon to let you know when to expect a brand new WhatFriendsDo! Meanwhile - as the season of giving approaches, here are some tips for planning surprises for your friend:
- A blitz of greeting cards (maybe with gift cards in some?) is a great surprise!
- Some surprises shouldn't be a total surprise. Having the house cleaned for your friend is awesome, but this is one gift your friend should have some advance notice about (think about it, do you always have your dirty socks in the hamper?)
- If your surprise involves lots of people (like a caroling party or an afternoon of decorating for the holidays) it might be good to let a family member in on the plans.
- A frivolous gift that is also practical is one of the best surprises!
Whatever you plan, try to brainstorm all the possible ways your timing and your idea will be best for your friend. |
