Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: "What! You, too? Thought I was the only one."

Greetings!

Today is Memorial Day.   It is a day dedicated to remembering those who lost their lives serving in the United States military.  The WhatFriendsDo.com staff extends a special recognition to those families who lost a son, daughter, husband, wife, brother sister, father, mother, cousin, uncle or aunt while serving our country.  We know your loss is great.

Memorial Day is also a time that many people traditionally visit cemeteries to decorate graves of loved ones.

Today we encourage you, the friends, to reach out to the families who have lost a loved one.  A note telling of a special memory will be appreciated.  A phone call letting the family know their loved one is on your mind will mean so much.  An offer to drive to the cemetery may be very welcome.

Memorial Day is a time when we intentionally focus on those who we have lost and miss, but remembering at other times may be even more helpful to our friends who are missing loved ones every day.

We wish everyone a safe holiday, with special remembrances of those whose journey did not turn out as hoped.

We might not be able to change the outcome of your situation, but we hope to help change the journey!
