Sergio's Historical Facts
The Original Trattoria in Oakland was opened based on the true Trattoria standard. Over the years we changed to the customer expectation to operate as a restaurant.
- In Italy a TRATTTORIA means - a specific institution more akin to an eating club than a conventional restaurant. There are no menus, the service is casual, the prices low, and the emphasis is on a steady clientele rather than haute cuisine. The food is modest but plentiful and is served family style.
