Happy New Year! Thank you for allowing The Flaming Ice Cube to survive another year. The last few years have been very challenging and we sincerely thank you for your business in both the cafe and shoppe.
2011 saw many changes at The Flaming Ice Cube in Boardman, and I dare say 2012 will see even more! Our metamorphosis continues as we strive to offer a unique environment filled with positivity - in people, products, nourishment, and activities: - We are amplifying the knitting corner by adding crochet items, more classes, groups and events, and of course, more yarn! (see our current schedule here)
- We are revitalizing our roots. As you may or may not know, The Flaming Ice Cube started out as an aromatherapy shop (back in 1997). Thanks to your interests and requests we have added much along the way. In 2012, we are adding a new line of top quality essential oil products, Young Living. You may be familiar with one of Young Living's most popular oils, Thieves. Thieves is also available in a whole line of items, from toothpaste to window cleaner. We will also offer informational presentations on aromatherapy, as well as other topics...
- Speaking of presentations, we are developing a presentation area in what is now our shipping and receiving area (it was actually originally designed for classes). Other planned topics include knitting, crochet, tea tastings, gluten-free, and perhaps even some vegan cooking classes.
- We are adding some seating to the cafe, bring down part of the wall between the cafe and shoppe.
- NEW menu in February! (including some gluten-free friendly items and Jean's favorite chick'n sandwich)
- Newly energized staff eager to care for each guest - that's you!
- Weekly emails with new items and events
- More updates on our three Facebook pages
- New hours (see below)
- We will be revising our website, www.flamingice.com, to better serve you
We hope to become a community gathering place - free wifi, relaxed seatinng area, informational events. We are very excited about our continuing metamorphosis and, thank you for your support this past year.
