IECA's Southeast Chapter, videographer Chelsea Thompson conducted interviews and captured footage of full-scale erosion and sediment control testing procedures at TRI's Denver Downs Research Facility (DDRF) in Anderson, South Carolina. Those videos have now been uploaded for open access online. Guiding the series are interviews with IECA member

PROFILE Products LLC Announces Continuation of 'Spray It, Don't Lay It' Rebate Program
The "Spray it, Don't Lay It" rebate program launched in 2009 encourages contractors to convert a project specification from a rolled erosion control blanket to a ProfileŽ hydraulic erosion control product. Contractors can earn up to $122.50 per acre or $1,540 per truckload for participation in the program.

Elastec/American Marine's Fireboom Recognized
On April 20, 2010 the Transocean drilling rig, Deepwater Horizon, exploded. Over time, this event became the largest oil spill in US history. Elastec/American Marine was contacted on the morning of April 26th with a request for Hydro-FireŽ Boom. This is the first time that the technique of burning oil on water in a large scale incident has been proven - reducing the impact on the shoreline and sensitive ecosystem of the Gulf coast. More >>

Tom Wells, immediate past president of the Great Rivers Chapter, recently passed the torch to Rebecca Kauten (pictured, right) who will serve as president. Tom will fill the role of secretary; Dean Mattoon will serve as vice - president and Sara Drake retained the treasurer position. Congratulations to these Chapter officers!
