(SES), a manuf  acturing and services company specializing in erosion control products and application. The purchase of SES, based in Tyler, TX, further increases Central Fiber's share in the erosion control market.  IECA Roadshow Travels to Nashville - Only $89 for Members Who Register By Oct. 1 IECA and the Southeast Chapter are sponsoring a one-day workshop in Nashville, TN on October 15, 2010. This event is the first of several "roadshow" tours where IECA will work with the local Chapter to present quality education from a national, state and local perspective at an affordable price. The early registration date is October 1 for members, and the fee is $89. The deadline to book the hotel at the special IECA rate is September 15. Complete Details >>
 Spend Some Time on the Green at EC11 Spend some quality time with clients and friends at EC11 playing one of the finest public golf courses in the U.S. - Orange County National Crooked Cat Course. The event is Monday, February 21, 2011 and features a shotgun start tee-off at 8:30am.  Featured EC11 Speaker - David Walker, CPESC Dr. David G. Walker, CPESC, P.Ag., P.Biol., will be teaching the full day course entitled Wind Erosion Control - Theory Into Practice at EC11 in February, 2011. David specializes in land reclamation as a researcher, instructor, consultant, and Adjunct Associate Professor, Faculty of Environmental Design, University of Calgary. With more than 25 years experience in western and northern Canada and parts of the USA, he has consulted to all levels of government, national and provincial parks, oil and gas industry, electrical power industry, ski industry and non-governmental environmental organizations. Dr. Walker has over 30 years teaching experience at the university level in graduate and undergraduate programs and at the technical level in professional development programs.
 EC11 Offers Two Spanish Courses Also being featured at EC11 this year are two half-day training courses being taught in Spanish. Pablo Garcia-Chevesich will teach Erosion Processes and Control / Procesos y Control de la Erosion and Luiz Lucena will teach Bioingenieria de Suelos en la Recuperacion de Areas Degradadas y Estabilizacion de Taludes y Laderas. More details on these Spanish courses as well as David Walker's course will be posted on IECA's website soon.
