MAC Seeking Partnerships with VA SWCD's
The Mid-Atlantic Chapter (MAC) of IECA is offering to partner with Virginia Soil & Water Conservation Districts to conduct conservation workshops. MAC partnered with the Northern VA SWCD in 2000 for a workshop held at George Mason University and with the Prince William SWCD in 2001 at a workshop held at the Officers Club at Quantico Marine Base. The workshops are usually one day, held in a classroom setting, or classroom and field demonstration, low cost for attendees ($25-$50) and typically do not require an attendee to incur any hotel costs. If your district is thinking of holding a workshop and would be interested in exploring a partnership with the MAC-IECA, please contact: Roy Van Houten at rvanhouten@wetlandstudies.com or John Peterson at jwpeterson@cox.net.
